The Stadion Narodowy, or the National Stadium, is a new football stadium built in Warsaw, Poland. Having just been opened in the beginning of 2012, it was designed to be used for the UEFA Euro 2012 (Euro Cup 2012, where Warsaw is a co-host along with Kiev, Ukraine), but will be permanently used as the home stadium of the Polish national football team (Reprezentacja Polski w piłce nożnej). It seats 58,500 people, which makes it the largest in the country, and has a retractable roof. It is located in the Praga Południe (South Praga) district, on the eastern bank of the Vistula River. The stadium’s façade is meant to represent the Polish national colors, red and white, resembling a waving flag of Poland.
